Directed by Jonah Heinen. Composed by Michelle Bruski-Dumpert
The University of Puget Sound Choirs recently premiered The Sound of Courage, an original choral work by composer Michelle Bruski-Dumpert, conducted by Jonah Heinen. Performed with the powerful accompaniment of the historic Bethel Schneebeck Pipe Organ in Tacoma, Washington, the concert marked an important milestone in Bruski-Dumpert’s expanding career—bridging her background in cinematic scoring with the expressive world of contemporary choral music.*Special recognition to Steven Zopfi, Dir. of Choral Activities; Jieun Yun, organist; and Joann Richardson, mentor and registrant.
